The district election commission in Rustavi city, near Tbilisi, started this evening rechecking voter lists to enable the Rustavi voters to cast ballot on November 2 parliamentary elections.
The MP candidates in the Rustavi single-mandate constituency demanded on October 31 to postpone the parliamentary elections in Rustavi due to the mass inaccuracies in voter lists.
The decision to double-check the voter lists was taken after the talks between Chairperson of the Central Election Commission Nana Devdariani and Chairman of the Rustavi district election commission Mamuka Nikolaishvili.
Double-checking will last all night long and should be finished before 8:00 am on November 2, when the polling stations in Georgia open.
