Polling Stations Closed in Most of Georgia

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC) voter turnout exceeded 48%. The data of Kutaisi, the Georgia’s second-largest city, is not included in this data, as the polling stations will be closed in Kutaisi at 24:00.

Nana Devdariani, the Chairman of the CEC, said that the elections are held, as well as the referendum on cutting the number of legislators from 235 to 150 by the 2007 parliamentary elections.

The polling stations closed in most of the Georgia at 20:00. Only in Tbilisi the polling stations were closed only an hour later.
