Repeat Parliamentary elections were scheduled in Georgia’s 8 precincts throughout the country; however only 5 provincial precincts were opened in the morning of November 16.
The members of one of the precincts in Tbilisi failed to open the polling station claiming, they were not “informed regarding the repeat elections.”
The polling stations were not opened in three provincial precincts and in one precinct in Tbilisi, as the courts ruled late on November 15 to recount the votes cast on November 2 elections in these precincts.
The polling stations were opened in all four precincts in western Georgian town of Samtredia this morning, where the repeat elections were scheduled and in one precinct of another western Georgian town of Tsalenjikha.
