Labor Party claims only four parties could clear 7% barrier, necessary to secure seats in the Parliament, in the November 2 parliamentary elections.
“We are sure that only four parties [Shevardnadze’s For New Georgia, Abashidze’s Revival Union, Saakashvili’s National Movement and the Labor Party] could clear the barrier. If the Central Election Commission tries to rig the results and increase percentage rate of other parties, we will discuss the possibility of boycotting the new Parliament,” Jondi Baghaturia of Labor Party said at a news briefing on November 19.
The Labor Party claims that the authorities try to assist the Industrialists and the New Rights parties to clear 7% barrier.
