Russian Ambassador to Georgia Vladimir Chkhikvishvili did not rule out aggravation of the situation in Georgia.
“I am concerned that the recent developments in Georgia might lead to further confrontation in the country,” the Ambassador told reporters on November 20 after his meeting with President Shevardnadze.
He called on the authorities and the political parties to settle the problem through a dialogue, reiterating that “Russia does not intend to interfere in the internal affairs of Georgia”.
