The Acting Parliamentary Chairman Gigi Tsereteli said today that the session of the Parliament will be convened at 4 p.m. November 25.
“We will face no problem of a quorum, as we are holding consultations with the representatives of various political parties in this regard,” Gigi Tsereteli told reporters on November 24.
He said the date of the upcoming presidential elections will be defined at the session on November 25.
Gigi Tsereteli took over Chairman’s post after Nino Burjanadze became interim President, as a result of Eduard Shevardnadze’s resignation.
The new Parliament, elected as a result of fraudulent November 2 parliamentary elections failed to confirm its authority as the protesters broke into the Parliament chamber on November 22. As a result the previous Parliament remains an acting legislative body of Georgia.
