U.S. NATO Committee Chief Visits Georgia

President of the US Committee on NATO Bruce Jackson, who arrived in Tbilisi on November 27 to discuss recent developments in Georgia with the new leadership, expressed hope that Georgia will still pursue its western-oriented policy.

Speaking about Georgia?s aspiration to NATO, Bruce Jackson said Georgia has an opportunity to become a NATO member.

?We really wish to see Georgia, as well as its neighbor countries [Azerbaijan, Armenia], on the way towards integration into NATO,? Bruce Jackson said in live broadcast on the independent Rustavi 2 TV channel.
