During his visit to Holland, where the OSCE regular meeting is to be held, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell plans to discuss the recent developments in Georgia.
?We will have some issues, serious issues, to discuss with respect to what’s happened in Georgia recently and what we might do to help the new leadership in Georgia get ready for new elections, which will be held in just 42 days’ time. And I’m sure that will be a subject of discussion,? Colin Powell said on November 25.
In the phone conversation with Georgian interim President Nino Burjanadze, U.S. President George W. Bush pledged support to the country?s new leadership.
Georgian interim President Nino Burjanadze said earlier that she intends to participate in the OSCE regular meeting and she did not rule out meeting with Colin Powell.
