The leaders of the New Rights party today supported holding of the presidential elections on January 4 and said they are ready to return to their parliamentary activities and attend the sessions.
“The presidential elections should be held on January 4 by all means, as required by the constitution. The country should have a legally elected President as soon as possible. Taking into account the country”s interests, the presidential elections should be held on the entire territory of Georgia,” leader of the New Rights Davit Gamkrelidze said at a news briefing on December 8.
Earlier the New Rights party condemned “velvet revolution” and boycotted acting Parliament.
