According to the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC), ballot papers will be printed in two languages – Georgian and Russian – for the population of the Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions of Georgia.
These two regions are basically populated with ethnic Azerbaijanis (in Kvemo Kartli) and Armenians (in Samtskhe-Javakheti).
This is for the first time when bilingual ballot papers are printed for the elections in Georgia.
