State Minister Zurab Zhvania left for Azeri capital Baku for a one-day official visit on December 27.
Zhvania will hold talks with the Azerbaijani leadership, including President Ilham Aliyev.
Issues of bilateral cooperation, including construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which will carry Azeri oil to the western markets via Georgia, will be discussed during the visit.
It is expected that Zurab Zhvania will arrive in Batumi after the visit to Azerbaijan, to hold talks with head of Adjara Autonomous Republic Aslan Abashidze.
