The U.S. polling firm Global Strategy Group will conduct exit polls for the Georgia’s January 4 snap presidential elections.
The same company conducted exit polls during the fraudulent November 2 parliamentary elections, last year.
The results of the exit polls differed from the official one, which cast doubts over the manipulations of results by the authorities, which were categorically against of exit polls.
The U.S. polling firm was contracted by the Rustavi 2 broadcasting company, with the support of Eurasia Foundation, British Council and Open Society Georgia Foundation.
Kakha Lomaia of the Open Society Georgia Foundation said, “exit polls are one more measure to monitor the elections and to prevent manipulation of the election results.”
