President Saakashvili told reporters on February 10 that none of “the old minister would retain position in the new cabinet,” which will be proposed to the Parliament for approval “in two, or maybe three days.”
“The cabinet will be composed of the young ministers; however this does not mean that the new government will look like a kindergarten. They will be professionals,” Saakashvili said before his departure to Moscow.
The President has already nominated State Minister Zurab Zhvania as a Prime Minister and Justice Minister Zurab Adeishvili as State Security Minister.
Saakashvili also said that the structural reforms will be carried out in the executive government, which will lead to reduction of number of ministries and cancellation of state departments.
State Minister Zurab Zhvania intends to hold meeting with the leaders of the parliamentary factions later on February 10 to propose the detailed plan of structural reforms in the government.
