Saakashvili Meets Bush

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his American counterpart George W. Bush will meet in Washington on February 25.

“I was rather worrying on the eve of meeting with Mr. Putin [the Russian President]. Everything is clear in the relationship with the United States, we are friends and we should keep these relations,” Mikheil Saakashvili told reporters on February 24.

Saakashvili holds talks with top-level Bush administration officials in Washington since February 23.

Closer security ties between the two countries and increase of the financial assistance for Georgia are the main priorities of the Georgian delegation during its visit to the United States.
