Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili made a surprise overnight inspection of one of the bases of the internal troops in Tbilisi.
After ordering to get ready for exercises Saakashvili told the servicemen that he was satisfied and the troops at the base were combat-ready.
Saakashvili also said that he would carry out more inspections. “I want the armed forces to be combat-ready,” he added.
“I shall bring back order to the armed forces, and to the whole country,” Saakashvili said.
Georgian President vowed to restore order in the armed forces. “There was no discipline in the army and corruption was widespread, but now, soldiers are paid in time, and there will be order,” he said.
