Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Zurab Tchiaberashvili dismissed chief of the Shuakhevi district election commission of Adjara Autonomous Republic for “failing to submit to the CEC voter lists” from Shuakhevi.
Zurab Tchiaberashvili said on March 10 that other five district election commissions provided CEC with the voter lists; however he added that the lists were submitted with delay and are inaccurate.
“There are no addresses of voters indicated in the lists,” the CEC chief said.
In addition CEC Chairman appealed the General Prosecutor’s Office to launch investigation into the alleged misuses of power by the former logistics chief of the CEC Nodar Lazariashvili.
He is nominated by the Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze-led Revival Party as its representative to the CEC.
