Mátyás Eörsi, head of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) delegation, met with Chairman of the Central Election Commission Zurab Tchiaberashvili on March 26.
The issues of the forthcoming parliamentary elections and voter lists, as well as the situation in Adjara, were discussed during the meeting.
“The conduct of free and fair elections in Adjara depends on the local authorities and voter turnover,” Mátyás Eörsi told reporters on March 26.
A 40-member enlarged delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) led by Mátyás Eörsi arrived in Tbilisi on March 25.
The members of the delegation will meet with the President of Georgia and the Prime Minister later on March 26.
