PM: Business Climate Still Worries

Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania said, while addressing the cabinet on April 5, “there should be no pressure on business; however we still witness this kind of cases.”

“Georgian, as well as foreign entrepreneurs and businessmen still have many unanswered questions. We should answer all their questions and defuse their worries,” Zurab Zhvania said.

He said that providing favorable taxation system would be a step forward in improving business climate in the country.

“In a week we will be ready to submit the draft of a new tax code to the President [Mikheil Saakashvili]. And after this we will be ready to publicly discuss this draft,” the Prime Minister added.

“At the same time businessmen should have guarantees that nothing threatens to their activity in Georgia,” Zurab Zhvania said.

“In this regard we still have problems, particularly in relationship between the law enforcers and the businessmen,” he added.
