President Saakashvili said on Monday that economic growth alone will lead to the restoration of Georgia?s territorial integrity.
?Internally displaced persons [from breakaway Abkhazia] often ask me, ‘when will we return to Abkhazia?’ And my answer is ? when our GDP increases by seven, eight times,? Saakashvili said on may 24th, at a meeting with Georgian businesspeople in the eastern Georgian region of Kakheti.
?We cannot reunite Georgia by battle tanks. If we have a strong economy, they [breakaway Abkhazians and Ossetians] will show interest in living in Georgia,? Saakashvili added.
?We pin our hopes on you [businessmen]. And we are ready to support you,? the President said while addressing the businessmen.
