Russian Minister for Economic Development and Trade German Gref said on May 28 while speaking at the Russian-Georgian Business Forum in Tbilisi, that the Russian authorities are ready for boosting economic ties with Georgia.
Among the key trends of the future cooperation German Gref outlined the intergovernmental cooperation aimed at eradication of obstacles for business cooperation between the two countries.
?We will do our best to promote the business relations with Georgia. We consider Georgia as an important country for Russian investments,? German Gref said.
Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania said at the forum that Tbilisi is open for both western and Russian investments.
Up to hundred business leaders of Russia arrived in Tbilisi on May 27 to discuss investment projects in Georgia at the Russian-Georgian Business Forum on May 28-29. The forum is described by the Georgian officials as the largest-ever business event in the country.
