Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania told reporters on May 28 that the experts from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia will help Georgia to draft a new tax code.
?The new tax code will be more liberal at the expense of reduction of number of taxes, as well as tax rates,? Zurab Zhvania said on May 28.
Zhvania said, Russia?s First Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Trade Mikhail Dmitriev will arrive in Tbilisi to assist in elaborating of the tax code.
Visiting Russian Minister for Economic Development and Trade German Gref said on May 28, the new tax code of Georgia will promote Russian investments in Georgia?s economy.
German Gref participated in the Russian-Georgian Business Forum in Tbilisi on May 28-29 together with up to hundred leading Russian businessmen.
?There will be no investments in Georgia, if there is no transparent and liberal tax code,? the Russian Minister for Economic Development and Trade said at the forum.
