Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze appealed to the bussiness people of Georgia to set up a consultative body and to cooperate with lawmakers in attempts to improve the country?s business climate.
?I call on each Georgian businessman and entrepreneur for cooperation. I even suggest to them to set up an assembly under the Parliament of Georgia, which will work towards improvement of the business environment in the country,? Nino Burjanadze said at a news briefing on June 2nd.
?The legislative body will try to create a normal legal base for businesses. We need the assistance of Georgian businessmen in this,? Burjanadze added, offering to start a series of meetings with the businesspeople, begining as early as next week.
Nino Burjanadze also hailed the appointment of the Russian-based tycoon Kakha Bendukidze as Georgia?s Economy Minister.
