108,000 Voters Registered in Adjara

The Central Election Commission (CEC) delivered around 250,000 ballot papers to Adjara Autonomous Republic on June 18, which is twice more than number of registered voters in Adjara.


Roughly 108,000 voters underwent registration in Adjara Autonomous Republic for the June 20 local elections.


Voter registration will also be carried out on the day of the elections.


Voters in the Adjara Autonomous Republic will elect a new, 30-seat Parliament, in which 18 MPs will be elected through proportional party lists and 12 MPs through single-mandate constituencies.


According to the Central Election Commission, 144,000 voters cast ballots in Adjara during the nation-wide repeat parliamentary elections on March 28.
