A group of Georgian pacifists held their first protest rally ten days ago, when they called on the US president and the allies to find a peaceful solution to Iraqi crisis. Participants also asked Georgian government to resist participation in this war. ( “Resist Blood Money”)
Yesterday’s event was a part of a “Global vigil for peace” which involved citizens in 130 countries worldwide.
Action started in New Zealand and quickly crossed the globe. “This is a global candlelight vigil to say yes to peace and no to war,” said Ucha Nanuashvili, one of the organizers of the event.
