A conference of Environmental Ministers form Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia (EECCA) is being held at the Tbilisi Marriot Courtyard from October 21-22.
Representatives at the conference were greeted this afternoon by opening remarks from Ms. Tamar Lebanidze, Minister of the Environment of Georgia, and Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania.
Zhvania emphasized the importance of the conference for Georgia, a country he described as being ?in transition? and one that is battling a ?legacy of corruption from previous years.?
