Head of the Shida Kartli Police Aleksandre Sukhitashvili said that the South Ossetian side opened fire again overnight on November 11 on the Georgian villages of Tamarasheni and Kurta in the conflict zone. No casualties were reported.
?They [the South Ossetian side] used grenade-launchers during the shelling. This, once again, confirms that the process of demilitarization should start as soon as possible,? Sukhitashvili told reporters on November 11.
The South Ossetian side has not commented regarding this report so far.
Meanwhile, Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Goga Khaindrava will head to the conflict zone on November 11 to supervise the process of demilitarization, which according to the November 5 Sochi agreement between the Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoev should end before November 20.
