A meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) will be held in Russia’s North Ossetian capital, Vladikavkaz, ?apparently by the end of next week,? Irakli Antadze, an aide to the Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Goga Khaindrava Issues told Civil Georgia on November 12.
The issue of implementation of an agreement, signed by Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and South Ossetian de facto President Eduard Kokoev on November 5 in Sochi, envisaging the demilitarization of the conflict zone before November 20, will be discussed during the meeting.
The JCC is a quadripartite commission, involving representatives from Georgia, Russia, South Ossetia and North Ossetia, which oversees the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
