United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Rudolphus Lubbers held talks with South Ossetian de facto President Eduard Kokoev on November 24.
Eduard Kokoev acquianted Rudolphus Lubbers with the current situation in the breakaway region, the Russian news agency Regnum reports.
The United Nations High Commissioner hailed the process of demilitarization, which was launched in the conflict zone as a result of an agreement signed by Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and Eduard Kokoev in Sochi on November 5.
Rudolphus Lubbers stressed the necessity for returning internally displaced persons to their native homes.
