The government prepared a final version of the 2005 draft budget which sets expenditures at 2.193 billion Lari (approximately USD 1.2 billion) and revenues at 1.877 billion Lari (approximately USD 1 billion), the Georgian Finance Ministry reported on December 3.
Budgetary expenditures planned for 2005 exceed the current expenditures by 500 million Lari (approximately USD 274 million).
On November 29, Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze called on government members to submit a revised 2005 draft budget to the Parliament as soon as possible.
