On January 17, Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili and Swiss Ambassador to Georgia Stefan Spek signed an agreement on technical, financial and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry?s press statement reads that humanitarian and technical assistance, which is implemented by the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency, will be doubled in 2005.
In 2002-2004, Georgia received some USD 5.9 million under the technical assistance programs and up to USD 6.7 million in the form of humanitarian assistance from the Swiss Government.
