EU Envoy Visits Georgia

The European Union?s special representatives to the South Caucasus Heikki Talvitie is visiting Georgia from January 26-28, the Georgian Foreign Minister reported.


The EU envoy has already met with Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili on January 27. Talks with Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Goga Khaindrava are also planned.


?The talks will be focused on conflict resolution issues, EU-Georgian relations, as well as a possible replacement of the OSCE [border monitors on the Russian-Georgian border by other international observation mission],? Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Gomiashvili told reporters on January 26.
