In a statement issued on February 18 following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said that Tbilisi ?is ready for a compromise [with Russia], but this compromise should not be unilateral.?
In a statement, which was voiced on February 18 by the President?s spokesperson Alana Gagloeva, Mikheil Saakashvili says that Georgia remains on its ?principle position? during the talks with Russia.
The statement reads that the Georgian side has complains particularly regarding Moscow?s policy directed towards support of Georgia?s secessionist regions.
