Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will leave for Moldova on March 2.
According to the Georgian President?s press office, Mikheil Saakashvili will discuss bilateral ties and cooperation in frames of GUUAM with his Moldovan counterpart Vladimir Voronin.
Georgian President?s official visit comes ahead of parliamentary elections in Moldova scheduled for March 6.
Saakashvili will meet representatives from all political forces, in an apparent attempt to not to allow for the interpretation that his visit is an endorsement of Voronin in the upcoming elections.
One day before the Georgian President?s scheduled visit Moldovan President Voronin paid a surprise visit to Ukraine on March 1 and held talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Victor Yushchenko.
