Georgian Foreign Minister Visits Turkey

Visiting Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili met with her Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul in Ankara on March 10 and discussed bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Turkey.


“For Georgia, Turkey is not only a neighbor, it’s a friend and a strategic partner,” AFP reporters quoting Salome Zourabichvili as saying after talks with Abdullah Gul.


Salome Zourabichvili called on Turkey for support in Georgia?s aspiration to integrate into NATO, according to the AFP. The two Ministers also discussed regional cooperation in the Caucasus region.
