Tbilisi-based Mze television reported on July 25 that the police have arrested three persons allegedly suspected in car bomb explosion in central Georgian town of Gori on February 1, which resulted in death of three policemen.
No official confirmation of this report has emerged so far. But Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili plans a news conference later today, apparently to make a statement regarding the case.
An explosive, which was a mixture of hexogen, TNT and ammonium nitrate, was detonated in a car parked outside the Gori police office.
