Georgia braces in protest rallies for the second time in two years. Thousands demand President Shevardnadze’s resignation. People did not disperse during the night on November 8 to November 9, despite rain. The riot police and interior troops are on high alert but there were no signs of unrest so far. People willing to join the protest rallies in Tbilisi are hindered to arrive to Tbilisi from other parts of Georgia, as the police and interior troops blocked the highways connecting eastern and western Georgia to the capital city.
