State Minister for the Conflict Resolution Issues Giorgi Khaindrava, who appeared at the Tbilisi City Court where the judge announced on July 6 a verdict on the Sandro Girgvliani murder case, said that the trial was inadequate.
?I think upon the arrival from the United States, President Saakashvili should consider the issue and take relevant conclusions and decisions, because what we are now seeing here [in the court] is a sign of a crisis,? Khaindrava told reporters in the Court?s building where a crowd of protesters, angered by what they see as biased trial were wrangling with the court marshalls. The protestors consider that the court found guilty only those police officials who took immediate part in the crime, but not those who are thought to have been behind the order.
