Georgian Soldiers Freed in South Ossetia

Four Georgian peacekeepers, detained overnight by South Ossetian militias were released on September 24.

The Georgian side claims that the Georgian soldiers were detained after having lost their way while moving from the Georgian village of Eredvi towards another Georgian checkpoint in the conflict zone.

The South Ossetian side reports that the Georgian soldiers were arrested because they had no peacekeeper IDs.
