Parliament Approves Three New Ambassadors

The Parliament approved on April 26 ambassadors to Norway and Kazakhstan, as well as Georgia’s permanent representative to Geneva-based UN agencies and other international organizations.

Mamuka Tsikhelashvili, who until recently served as the director of the Humanitarian Relations Department at the Foreign Ministry, became Georgian ambassador to Norway.

Davit Mumladze, associate professor at the Tbilisi State University, was approved as Georgian ambassador to Kazakhstan.

Shalva Tsiskarashvili, who served as Georgian deputy permanent representative to the UN, became Georgian ambassador to Geneva-based UN agencies and other international organizations. The post of Georgian ambassador to Switzerland remains vacant after Zurab Tchiaberashvili was appointed as healthcare minister.
