(Tbilisi. November 6. Civil Georgia) – Election of the Parliamentary Chairman is postponed for November 9. The decision has been made in spite of trade-off proposal of Zurab Zhvania, former Chairman of the Parliament to elect the Chairman on November 8.
Reformers’ team demanded election of a new chairman today. The rest of the MPs went against and requested the election to be held on November 9.
“Postponement of election of the Parliamentary Chairman is an attempt to make the Parliament’s activity ineffective”, Zhvania stated in the end of the session.
