Georgia may “knock on the NATO’s doors by 2005”, Parliamentary Chairman Nino Burjanadze said to a Russian journalist on November 15, news agency Prime News reports.
Nino Burjanadze explained that this does not mean that Georgia will become the member of NATO by that time.
On November 12, President Shevardnadze announced that Russia must not be concerned about Georgia’s close cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
