(Tbilisi, June 8, Civil Georgia) – Central Election Commission (CEC), at the meeting today, discuses appeals of the political parties, concerning the procedural violations during the local elections on June 8.
After the discussion of the appeals CEC is to summarize results of the elections and announce final results of voting.
CEC took the decision to postpone announcement of the final results till June 10.
According to the CEC’s preliminary results Labors Party leads the locals in Tbilisi, National Movement – Democratic Front follows Labors Party. 4% voting barrier overcame 5 more parties: the New Rights, Christian-Conservative Party – Zhvania’s Team, Industry will Save Georgia, Revival-XXI and the Unity (Ertoba).
