Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will pay his first official visit to Georgia on July 17, the Georgian President’s press office reported on Friday.
During his three-day visit, Petro Poroshenko will hold talks with President Giorgi Margvelashvili, Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and Parliamentary Chairman Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Ukrainian President will also participate in the Georgian-Ukrainian Business Forum.
On July 19, Petro Poroshenko will travel to Adjara to meet with head of Adjara’s government, Zurab Pataradze.
As part of the visit, the Ukrainian President will also travel to Khurvaleti, a village adjacent to Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia which has been split in two by the Russian barbed wire and thus became a symbol of Russia’s encroachment on the Georgian territory.
