Workers were installing a stage on October 4 from where French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, will address the public on Freedom Square in the Georgian capital on Friday – the day which has been declared as holiday in Tbilisi, the decision formally linked to festivities marking the capital city’s day. The Interior Ministry said those willing to attend Sarkozy’s outdoor speech should not carry “video and photo cameras, inflammable objects and bottles as well as sharp and fragile items.”
