Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili convened a press briefing on the ongoing demonstration in Tbilisi. According to the Prime Minister:
- Interior Ministry will lead the controversial investigation under his close watch;
- The parliamentary investigative commission that was established yesterday might carry on its work with the leadership of the parliamentary minority;
- Chief Prosecutor will be elected through wide public and political participation;
- Parents of the murdered teenagers will have unrestricted access to the investigation.
PM Kvirikashvili also commented on his attempt to address the protesters, saying “absolute majority” of them welcomed his presence at the rally, but “a small group of politically-driven individuals” did not allow him to address the demonstration.
