The rally in front of the old Parliament building in Tbilisi is still underway.

The number of protesters is smaller than at its peak in the evening yesterday, but organizers, including the father of one of the teen murder victims – Zaza Saralidze, say they will stay there overnight.

Earlier, Saralidze rejected the proposal of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili to transfer the investigation to the Interior Ministry, saying he requested a meeting with Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia two months ago, but the latter ignored his appeal.

A large-scale rally will be convened at 4 pm on June 1, according to the organizers. Their demands remain the same – resignation of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili’s government.
