Minister of Interior Affairs Giorgi Gakharia and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maia Tskhitishvili were appointed as Vice Prime Ministers in Mamuka Bakhtadze’s new cabinet, the Georgian Government’s press office reported on July 17.
Two officials from Giorgi Kvirikashvili’s cabinet – the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees, Sozar Subari, and the Minister of Education and Science, Mikheil Chkhenkeli – were appointed as PM’s advisers.
Subari, whose ministry was abolished in Bakhtadze’s structural reform plan, will serve as the Prime Minister’s advisor on regional development issues, while Chkhenkeli, who was replaced in the new cabinet by Mikheil Batiashvili, will be the PM’s advisor on education.
