Georgia’s average growth of real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2019 equaled 5.2%, according to preliminary data released by the National Statistics Office (Geostat) on January 31.
Geostat also reported that real GDP grew by 3.8% in December 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.
According to the report, in December, real growth was registered in the following sectors: manufacturing; transport and storage; wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; hotels and restaurants.
A decrease was reported in construction sector.
