On April 23, the Parliament of Georgia endorsed the credentials of Zurab Khachidze, a lawmaker of the ruling Georgian Dream–Democratic Georgia party, with 82 votes.
Khachidze replaced Otar Chrdileli, former member of the ruling party whose MP mandate was suspended on March 19 upon his personal decision.
Chrdileli renounced his MP mandate last December, citing inner difference in the ruling party regarding the issue of appointment of Supreme Court judges.
