Security Minister Decides to Resign

State Security Minister Vakhtang Kutateladze announced his decision to resign during the meeting of National Security Council at the State Chancellery on 1:30 pm, October 31st. It is expected that President Shevardnadze will satisfy Kutateladze’s request for resignation. Internal Affairs minister Kakha Targamadze might apply for resignation as well.

Protest action in front of the Parliament building is continuing. ‘Reformers’ team of the Citizens’ Union faction joined the protesters. They declare that resignation of Security Minister only would not be enough and demand responsibility of all the power ministers and President Shevardnadze.
